Maritime issue of Arbitration.ru: #21, August 2020

Russia is a maritime country: it is washed by 12 seas of three oceans: the Atlantic, the Arctic and the Pacific, as well as the Caspian Sea. We celebrate the Day of the Navy and have other professional holidays in our national calendar. We also have the Northern Sea Route. Therefore, it is natural there should be an issue dedicated to maritime disputes before winter came and ice hummocks rise.
Russia also has a specialized Maritime Arbitration Commission, which celebrates its 90th anniversary this year. This arbitration institution was for many years one  of the flagships of maritime disputes resolution not only in the USSR, but also in all Eastern-European countries. Thus this issue starts with an article discussing the history, arbitral procedure and other features of the MAC. The readers will also find items by authors from Latvia and Ukraine: these jurisdictions tackle many maritime arbitrations now.
