Upon requests from law firms, in-house lawyers, universities and other organisations, CIS Arbitration Forum conducts seminars, webinars and training for lawyers on arbitration and other dispute resolution methods.  The events are conducted by our regular authors as well as invited prominent practitioners.

Our experts combine practical experience working with leading law firms and an excellent academic record in the field.  Several have PhDs in law have taught courses related to international dispute resolution in the United Kingdom, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan. They also regularly speak at conferences in western Europe and former Soviet Union countries and publish in leading academic journals.

If your organisation needs to gain or refresh knowledge about international dispute resolution, please contact us to organise a tailored interactive training session. While events can take place at relatively short notice in London, Moscow and Minsk, for other venues advance planning is essential.

Our seminars and training in the past have focused on the following topics:

  • International commercial arbitration
  • Introduction to investor-state arbitration
  • Introduction to international mediation
  • Advanced international mediation
  • Recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards and foreign state judgments
  • Comparison of major institutional arbitration rules (ICC, LCIA, SCC, ICAC and others)
  • Introduction to commercial law of Russia
  • Introduction to UK Arbitration Act.
