Moscow Seminar “Damages in International Arbitration: Is It All About the Money?”

ICDR_ArbitrationInternational Centre for Dispute Resolution Young & International (ICDR Y&I) invites to its annual Seminar in Moscow on Thursday, September 26, 2013.

The Seminar will be hosted by the Independent Arbitration Chamber. The program will take place at 33 Arbat Street, in the historic center of Moscow. Registration will open at 4:30 p.m., with the program running from 4:50 to 7:00 p.m., followed by a reception.

This year’s topic, “Damages in International Arbitration: Is It All About the Money?”, will be presented in a debate format and will explore the intricacies of calculating and proving damages in international arbitration. We welcome your views in this open exchange and your company at the reception.

The Welcome and Introduction will be given by Mark Appel, International Centre for Dispute Resolution (Europe, Middle East & Africa); Alexey Kostin, International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (Moscow); and Mikhail Savranskiy, The Independent Arbitration Chamber (Moscow).

The Debate Panelists include: Vasily Anurov, Moscow State Law Academy (Moscow); John Fellas, Hughes Hubbard &Reed LLP (New York); Maria Kostytska, Winston & Strawn LLP (Paris); Dmitry Labin, State Institute for International Relations of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (Moscow). The Moderator will be Laura Hardin, Charles River Associates (Houston).

Closing remarks will be given by Anna Kozmenko, Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP (New York); International Centre for Dispute Resolution Young & International Global Advisory Board.
